Which buildings will benefit?

Oldham Council commissioned a series of surveys of potential sites in Council ownership which could be suitable candidates for PV and biomass. So far, the Properties considered are all schools, community centres, and other community based buildings e.g. mosques, churches, libraries.

Further survey work is required to finalise the short-list of properties but an effort is being made to ensure every Borough will benefit. Following installation, the sites will benefit from lower electricity bills and a lower carbon footprint. Oldham Community Power will use surplus income generated to reimburse members and to help energy efficiency programmes in Oldham.
