Oldham Community Power has been supported by several organisations in its creation:
Sharenergy helps communities to set up and own renewable energy societies; they have contributed their experience to support the registration of Oldham Community Power, have produced the Share Offer Document for the first share offer, and are managing the share offer on behalf of Oldham Community Power.
Action Together is a support and development organisation for voluntary, community and faith groups; they have supported Oldham Community Power through high level advice drawing on their social enterprise and community energy expertise, and by providing links with voluntary groups across Oldham to raise awareness of share offers.
Further information about community-owned renewable energy and community shares can be found on the following links:
shares.coop is an online marketplace for community share offers, providing a location to view a large number of share offers and to find information about setting up and investing in a scheme.
The Greater Manchester Community Energy Pledge is an information site about the community energy projects occurring across Greater Manchester. It also contains a pledge that can be signed to register support for community energy and receive project updates.
