Oldham Community Power has teamed up with Oldham Youth Council, other community energy organisations, and training providers to participate in a youth eco-conference in Oldham.
The event saw young people from Oldham’s schools engage in practical scale demonstrations of renewable energy technologies, leading to the team development of novel renewable energy uses which were pitched to a ‘Dragons’ Den’ panel of experts.
The conference was organised by representatives of Oldham Youth Council who had participated in a year-long renewable energy training scheme.
The video below was created by members of the youth council to demonstrate the learning gained and raise awareness of the need for renewable energy generation in Oldham.
